Role Description: Support and guide people as they move through the grief process in a GriefShare cohort.
Skills, Attributes, Knowledge:
- Welcoming and warm personality that helps people feel at home and at ease
- The ability to demonstrate empathy and love to connect with people who are walking through loss, pain, and grief
- Skilled in facilitating safe and engaging discussions, manage group dynamics to help everyone feel heard and understood
- Sensitive to the needs of people of various cultural backgrounds and language skills
- Embody a life of prayer, grounding in God’s Word, integrity, and discipleship to Jesus Christ
- Completion of GriefShare as a participant is a prerequisite for serving as a GriefShare leader
Time Commitment:
- 13 weeks
- 3 hours per week
- GriefShare runs twice a year
