Role Description: Support and befriend international students by helping them with their settlement and immigration needs, developing and facilitating activities, and walking with them in their faith and settlement journey.
Skills, Attributes, Knowledge:
- A personal and growing relationship with Christ
- Welcoming and hospitable demeanour towards international students
- Display patience and cultural awareness
- Knowledge of and/or willingness to learn about resources to support international students, keep current on housing, employment, and immigration trends and relevant legislation
- Experience working in culturally diverse setting an asset
- Experience facilitating engaging discussion or similar role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Time Commitment:
- 5 hours per week
